Herman Corbett Jr., 63, formerly of Bruin, passed away July 20 in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

He was the son of the late Herman and Pauline (Rudish) Corbett.

He was employed at the Witco Chemical Co. of Petrolia and Chemical Injection Technologies of Fort Pierce, Fla.

He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart and other medals. He also was an avid fisherman in Florida.

He is survived by a brother, Thomas (Nancy) Corbett of Big Pine Key, Fla.; a sister, Frankie (Frank) Hutchison of Chicora; a stepmother, Peg Corbett of Butler; two stepbrothers, Jeff Barnhart of Chicora and Bruce Barnhart of West Sunbury; a stepsister, Diane Barnhart of Chicora; and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher of Bruin.
