Margaret L. 'Peggy' Acquavita

Margaret L. “Peggy” Acquavita, 75, of Butler died Thursday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler, Aug. 24, 1936, and was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Smith.

Peggy was a homemaker, and she had worked at various retail stores in the Butler area. She enjoyed playing bingo and gambling during casino trips.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph L. Acquavita. They were married Jan. 14, 1967.

Also surviving are two sons, James Acquavita of Butler and Robert Acquavita and his wife, Celia, of East Brady; two daughters, Lisa Acquavita of Butler and Deborah Cygan and her husband, Mark, of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Dawn Smith of Butler.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

ACQUAVITA — There will be no public visitation for Margaret L. “Peggy” Acquavita, who died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012. Private funeral services will be held for her family.

Arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
