PennDOT licensing centers to close Nov. 5
HARRISBURG — Driver licensing centers of the state Department of Transportation will be closed Nov. 5, the day before Election Day, as usual.
PennDOT recently had announced the centers would be open Nov. 5 to serve customers with last-minute voter photo ID needs.
However, a recent court ruling stated a photo ID is not needed for the Nov. 6 election.
Because of that ruling, PennDOT with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the union representing the licensing center employees, announced today those centers will be closed that day.
