Shirley M. Veon, 82, of Mars, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Thursday morning at the Butler VNA Hospice.

Born in Cranberry Township, on Aug. 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel Lutz Leonberg.

Shirley worked as a payroll clerk for Westinghouse, ran an employment agency in Beaver Falls and was a secretary for the New Brighton Schools.

She was a member of Beaver Falls Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Betts and Isabelle Rupert; and her brothers, Robert and Richard Leonberg.

VEON — Friends of Shirley M. Veon, who died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, will be received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
