Dorothy Louise Vetterly, 81, of Rimersburg, Madison Township, Clarion County, passed away Monday in Rimersburg.

She was born in Pittsburgh, on April 28, 1931, to Christian Wise and Louise Bauman.

She married James Garfield Vetterly Jr. on May 25, 1949. He passed away Dec. 28, 2007.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting afghans and loved to bake.

Surviving are four daughters, Christine L. Beard (Randy) of Texas, Patricia A. Henke (John) of Slippery Rock, Susan M. Bon of Rimersburg and Maryann Edinger of Rimersburg; and one son, James G. Vetterly III (Rose) of Ross Township. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Frieda Rink.

VETTERLY — Dorothy Louise Vetterly passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. Private services for her immediate family only will be at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, at 7 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Pete Sapp of East Brady officiating.
