John R. Gray
John R. Gray, 79, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Kittanning, and was the son of the late Homer Gray and the late Dorothy (Warner) Gray.
John was a member of the North Main Street Church of God and William H. Miller Lodge 769. He was an assistant general foreman at Pullman Standard and retired from General Electric. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Surviving are his wife, Leanna (Wimer) Gray, who he married Aug. 9, 1954; three daughters, Patricia (Bill) Racine of Cranberry Township, Pamela Gray (Steve Smith) of Grove City and Jody (Chris) Schlossnagel of Grove City; a granddaughter, MacKensie Saylor; a grandson, Benjamin Elford; a sister, Dorothy (Bob) Welsch of Butler; a brother, Richard (Nancy) Gray of West Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Thomas and Howard Gray.
GRAY — Friends of John R. Gray, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, will be received at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
