Aleta L. Bullman

Aleta Bullman

Aleta L. Bullman, 60, of Butler passed away Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born in Butler on July 3, 1952, the daughter of Merle K. and Edmona (Trivett) Bullman.

Aleta lived in the Butler area all her life and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She belonged to Community Care Connections in Butler and while there she won numerous attendance and helping hand awards.

Aleta had a penchant for adventure. Whether it was visiting a new area alone or camping with her parents, traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. Other activities she enjoyed included grilling and eating, bowling with her friends in “the office,” playing games and watching “I Love Lucy” and other old television shows on TV Land. She also was very crafty and loved to knit.

Aleta was known for her independence. She lived by herself and always made sure everything was done right. However, this did not take away from the love she had for her family and friends. They all knew of her caring nature, big heart and strong faith in Jesus. She was a caregiver to many family members, loved children and was always honest. Aleta's helpful and loving personality – along with her great sense of humor — will be remembered by all who knew her.

Her memory will be cherished by her brothers, Kenneth R. Bullman and his wife, Patti, of Palmer, Ark., Kevin W. Bullman and his wife, Lynn, of Butler, Erin C. Bullman of Kalispell, Mont., and Jesse B. Bullman and his wife, Sherry, of Cabot; and her sisters, Merlene B. Bullman of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Candace A. Petri and her husband, Douglas, of Gillette, Wyo., and Julie Ray Daugherty of Butler.

Aleta was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Kirk Daugherty.
