Wendy Jean Russell, 41, of Slippery Rock passed away at 4 a.m. Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born Aug. 25, 1971, in Butler to Jeanie Springer.

Wendy enjoyed going to programs at Lifesteps in Butler. She enjoyed playing Uno, counting coins, playing with beads, listening to music and going shopping.

Wendy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jeanie Springer and Frank Springer of Slippery Rock; one sister, Michelle Trott of Baltimore, Md; two stepbrothers, Scott Springer and Mark Springer, both of Butler; her maternal grandmother, Eleanor Fitzpatrick of Butler; one niece; three nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

RUSSELL — Friends of Wendy Jean Russell, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. A memorial service will follow immediately at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Harry R. Bielewicz of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Lifesteps Family Caring Fund, 383 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.
