Edward McGrady

Edward P. McGrady Sr., 72, of Salado, Texas, formerly of Butler, passed away Friday at his home in Texas with his family by his side.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1940, in Butler, to John and Roberta McGrady.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Ed enjoyed eating at Pa Pa’s Restaurant, spending the summer with his children in Pennsylvania and spending time with his dogs, Pepper and Dawson.

Surviving are his sons, Edward P. and Jackie McGrady Jr. of Ford City and Sean and Diane McGrady of Indiana, Pa.; daughters, Hutoca and Mitchell Armstrong of Ernest, Pa., and Marjorie A. and Stan Riggle of Ford City; brothers, Pat and Carolyn McGrady of Fenelton, Bob and Jenny McGrady of Orlando, Fla., Russell and Carol McGrady of Pittsburgh, Donny and Marg McGrady of Orlando, Fla., Ricky McGrady of Florida and Dean McGrady of Pittsburgh; sisters, Rita McGrady of Fenelton and Bonnie and Jack Kneff of Fenelton; 10 grandchildren, Danielle and Luke Leis, Brian McGrady, Eddie McGrady, Brittany Meyer, Kelly Meyer, Connor and Ian McGrady, Melissa Armstrong, Mallory Fabbri and Heather Hart; and three great-grandchildren, Sierra Fabbri, Michael Fabbri and Sage Blystone.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny McGrady.

MCGRADY — Edward P. McGrady passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in memory of Ed McGrady.
