KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Slippery Rock University women's soccer goalkeeper Dana O'Neill has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Division Scholar All-American team.

The team is made up of 39 student-athletes from Division II, III and NAIA institutions who have maintained at least a 3.3 GPA and excelled on the soccer field.

O'Neill, a health and physical education major, posted a 14-6-3 record with 10 shutouts, a 0.80 goals-against average and an .812 save percentage.

She is the first SRU player to be named to the team.

EASTON — An investigation into the fatal heroin overdose of Garrett Reid, the oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, revealed there were steroids in his room the day he died, a Pennsylvania prosecutor said Monday.Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said that anabolic steroids were found in the room where Garrett Reid was staying when he overdosed on heroin Aug. 5 during Eagles training camp. Reid was helping the team's strength and conditioning coach at the time of his death.
