State preservation board adds 2,064 acres
HARRISBURG — The State Agricultural Land Preservation Board recently added 2,064 acres on 22 farms in 17 counties to its preservation program.
In Butler County, the Amy, Charles M., Charles H. and Lois Andler farm, a 60-acre crop farm, joined the program.
To help save the state’s farmland, the Pennsylvania Agricultural Conservation Easement Purchase Program identifies properties to preserve to slow the loss of prime farmland to non-agricultural uses.
