Donald Daugherty
Donald L. “DJ Doc” Daugherty, 63, of Butler passed away at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Butler to Beatrice Schlagel Parker Jamison.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War era. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Standard Bent Glass in East Butler. Following his retirement, he owned “DJ Doc” disc jockey service. Don was an avid camper.
In addition to his mother of Butler, Don is survived by his wife, Robin Hamilton Daugherty; three daughters, Tanya Lewis and her husband, Damien, of East Butler, Tammy Summerville of Butler and Crystal Daugherty; one son, Kent Daugherty; one granddaughter, Amber, who lived with him; seven other grandchildren; and a number of brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Ronald Lewis.
DAUGHERTY — Friends of Donald L. “DJ Doc” Daugherty, who died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Butler. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James A.
