School crash probed
ADAMS TWP — No one was injured Tuesday afternoon when a school bus carrying nearly two dozen students rear-ended a car attempting to turn into Mars High School, police said.
The bus was coming from the Centennial School, which educates fifth and sixth graders, and was headed to the elementary school to pick up additional students for their ride home, said Adams Township Police Chief Bill Westerman.
There were 23 students on the bus driven by Stephanie Feineigle, 48, of Saxonburg.
Police said the bus, traveling west on Route 228, hit the back of the car driven by 16-year-old Anthony Arthur of Valencia. Arthur was stopped and waiting to turn into the high school.
Westerman said the investigation continues and it was not known if any charges would be filed.
The Adams Area Fire District and Quality Ambulance assisted police.
