Baierl buys dealer
ZELIENOPLE — Baierl Automotive has bought Northland Ford.
The acquisition of the Zelienople auto dealership took place on Dec. 31.
Northland Ford, 540 S. Main St., was founded in 1996, and is the largest Ford Dealer in Butler County as well as one of the largest Ford dealers in the Pittsburgh area, according to a Baierl news release.
Baierl Automotive has been family owned and operated since 1954, and this acquisition brings the total number of brands sold by Baierl to 11: Acura, Cadillac, Chevy, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Kia, Mitsubishi, Scion, Subaru and Toyota. The dealerships are in Cranberry Township, North Hills, Pittsburgh, Wexford and Zelienople.
“Baierl focuses on selling fairly priced reliable vehicles to our community, and the Ford brand has always had the same goal,” said Lee Baierl, president of Baierl Automotive, in the release.
Baierl said that he is pleased to add the strong Ford brand to the line of vehicles that Baierl sells.
Baierl Automotive’s last franchise acquisition, before obtaining Ford, was its Fiat acquisition in 2011.
