Martin “Marty” Cricks Jr., 66, of Butler passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Marty enjoyed playing bingo and Texas hold'em.

He was the loving father of Martin “Cricket” Cricks III, Brenda (Skip) Shaffer and Joe Norris. He will be missed by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Rich (Nancy) Cricks, Peggy Callender and Linda (Earl) Hackett. He also will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dorothy Cricks; one brother, Michael Cricks; and two sisters, Cindy Hilliard and Debbie Caldwell.

CRICKS — There will be no visitation for Martin “Marty” Cricks Jr., and service will be private.The family would like to thank the staff of the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot for their care.Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Blawnox.
