Lillian R. Mattox, 87, of Mars, formerly of Mt. Washington, died Saturday evening at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

She was born in Pittsburgh Sept. 4, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Richard LeRoy and Adeline Martha Lagmann Mattox.

Lillian had been an office clerk for the Standard Machinist Supply Co. on the South Side of Pittsburgh for 32 years.

Surviving are her two brothers, James Howard Mattox of Parker and Larry Mattox of Allison Park; her niece, Elizabeth LaMarca; and her three nephews, Ray, James and David Zielinski.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Elizabeth Zielinski and Alice Virginia Flanagan.
