Halt the 2-against-1
If it wasn’t for Butler County commissioners meetings, the people here probably would be bored.
About that proposed building that Commissioners William McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton want to build next to the Government Center: We don’t need a new building.
Don’t the commissioners see how many county residents are struggling? If the county has the finances to pursue such a project, it ought to be helping those in need.
At the commissioners meetings, it’s all about two against one. I think some people are encouraging McCarrier and Pinkerton to regularly gang up on Commissioner Jim Eckstein.
Those people know who they are. One who quickly comes to mind is Itzi Meztli, a member of Slippery Rock Borough Council.
I can’t figure out how he has so much time to attend commissioners meetings. Regardless, he had no business urging Eckstein to resign.
Apparently there will be new candidates on the ballot for at least two of the seats — those of McCarrier and Pinkerton — the next time the commissioners’ seats are up for election.
Paying McCarrier and Pinkerton is a waste of taxpayers’ money.
