James Edgar Barber, 62, longtime resident of Evans City, passed away March 14.

He was born April 6, 1950, in Butler, and was the son of Ruth (Edgar) Daubenspeck of Cambridge, Ohio, and the late James J. Barber.

James was a member of the Sylvania Hills Baptist Church, and was a retired self-employed carpenter. Above all, he was a loving father, son and uncle.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two sons, James J. Barber of Evans City and Joshua Barber of Cabot; his two sisters, Sonja Leathley of Cambridge, Ohio, and Joan Noel of Butler; his two nephews, Jerry and Aaron Donahue; and his niece, Erin Leathley.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Judith Donahue and Susan Daubenspeck.
