Gillespie

Jean Genevieve Gillespie, 85, of Mars passed away Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

She was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Violet Lysaght Wheeler.

She was previously employed at Sears Roebuck & Co. and Wharton Cadillac.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Lynn Gillespie of Warrendale; her son Michael Dennis Gillespie (Carol) of Cranberry Township; her three grandsons, Joshua Michael (Kelly) Gillespie of Pittsburgh, David William Gillespie of Cranberry Township and Kevin Joseph (Kellie) Gillespie of Evans City; her one great-granddaughter, Kaya Valentina, and five cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Gillespie; son, William James Gillespie; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley and Megan Fleming.

GILLESPIE — A visitation for Jean Genevieve Gillespie, who passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, will be at the Kimes Funeral Home in Parkersburg, W.Va., from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, with a memorial service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Laughery, officiating.
