Geraldine E. 'Toots' Sanderson
Geraldine E. “Toots” Sanderson, 91, of Butler passed away Wednesday evening at her home.
She was born in Butler on Feb. 19, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Clarence S. and Mary M. Waltman Geibel.
Toots was a homemaker. A graduate of Saint Wendelin Grade School, she was a member of the Saint Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
She is survived by one son, Richard C. (Patricia) Sanderson of Butler; two granddaughters, Sara (Drew) Romanyak of Weirton, W.Va., and Christine (Troy) Bellis of East Butler; one brother, Delbert “Moe” Geibel of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Charles Sanderson, who she married Nov. 26, 1947, and who passed away Feb. 25, 1993, three brothers, and two sisters.
SANDERSON — Friends of Geraldine E. “Toots” Sanderson, who passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave, Butler, from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Saint Wendelin Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Matt McClain, pastor, officiating.
