Margaret Druga Jarecki
Margaret Druga Jarecki, 88, of Butler died Tuesday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
She was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Lyndora, and was a daughter of the late Stephan and Julia (Uram) Druga.
Margaret was a homemaker, was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora and the Ladies Guild at the Church. She had enjoyed knitting, word search books, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen (Jeffery) Richardson of Avon, Ind., Janis (Jiming) Jarecki-Liu of Clarion and Deborah Bybee of Lebanon, Pa.; five grandchildren: Kellie (Matt) Richardson-Latorre of Avon, Ind., Christina Liu and Mark Liu of Clarion, and Jared Bybee and Aran Bybee of Lebanon, Pa.; two sisters, Helen Leavitt of Slippery Rock and Evelyn Prokopchak of Phoenix, Ariz., and her hospital family from 4 South at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Jarecki, who she married Sept. 18, 1948, and died Aug. 16, 1985, and her brothers and sisters, Mary Mudrick, Nicholas Druga, Julia Sandloop, Anne Tanis, Michael Druga and Dorothy DeSantis.
JARECKI — Friends of Margaret Druga Jarecki, who died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora, with the Rev. Leo Schlosser, pastor, officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.Parastas services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler Health System Foundation, 1 Hospital Way, Butler, PA 16001, or to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
