Mary 'Meem' Sydney (Blumling) Hertel-Fair-Bowman
Mary “Meem” Sydney (Blumling) Hertel-Fair-Bowman, 94, of Butler passed away at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born April 18, 1919, in Butler, and lived in Butler most of her life. She was the beloved daughter of the late George Blumling and Laura (Hoch) Blumling.
Mary was the last surviving family member of her generation, having been predeceased by her brother, Howard, and sister, Jane. After attending Butler High School, she worked at Rosenberg's Fur Shop.
Mary is survived by her husband, William Bowman of Mercer, Pa. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Carol (Hertel) Campisi and her husband, Steve, and Darlene (Hertel) Kiser and her husband, Gary; a son, Bruce Fair and his wife, Kim; seven grandchildren, Shelly (Bender) Holley and her husband, Tom, Marsha (Bender) Stuhm and her husband, Jim, Mark Campisi, Laura Campisi, Kimberly Kiser, Erica (Janke) Yeager and her husband, Randy, and Adam Fair; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Hertel; her second husband, Gifford Fair, and her grandson, Bryan Kiser.
HERTEL-FAIR-BOWMAN — There will be no public visitation for Mary “Meem” Sydney (Blumling) Hertel-Fair-Bowman, who passed away Monday, April 22, 2013.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. J.
