U.S. Navy Seaman Apprentice Logan Patterson was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Patterson received the early promotion for outstanding performance during training.

Patterson, the son of Sonnia Greene of Worthington, is a 2010 graduate of Penns Manor Area High School in Clymer, Pa.

U.S. Navy Seaman Scott Genser recently completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Genser is the son of Sharon and Ronald Genser of Gibsonia. He is a 2006 graduate of Fox Chapel Area School in Pittsburgh and a 2012 graduate of La Roche College, Pittsburgh.

Hull, the son of Gary Hull of Glenshaw, Pa., is a 2012 graduate of North Hills High School in Pittsburgh.
