Central Electric worker electrocuted overnight
PERRY TWP, Armstrong County — A worker for Central Electric Cooperative died early Saturday morning when he was electrocuted while repairing a power line that was damaged by a fallen tree.
Micheal Over, 51, of New Bethlehem and a co-worker had responded to a report of line damage along Mudd Lane at 1:20 a.m., according to a report from state police.
Over was electrocuted when he was at the top of the utility pole attempting to repair the line, police said.
Armstrong County Deputy Coroner Brian Myers pronounced Over dead at the scene.
The second worker was not injured in the accident.
