Butler County Treasurer, Diane Marburger reminds Butler, Valencia and West Sunbury residents that the final day to pay 2013 county real estate taxes without a penalty is July 1.

Any tax payments received in person on or postmarked July 1 will be honored at the face tax amount.

Butler, Valencia and West Sunbury residents may pay county real estate tax payments in person at the treasurer's office located in the Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. until July 1.

Mailed tax payments must be postmarked by July 1 and mailed to: Butler County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1208, Butler, PA 16003.

SLIPPERY ROCK — A meeting to discuss bulk trash pickup in the borough, including whether the date should be changed from March to May, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the borough building, 306 E. Water St.There will be no time limits for speaking.
