Associated Artists of Butler County is scheduled to open a Photography Show with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. Part of the show is a feature called “A Day in the Life of Butler County.” The show will run through July 27. A “Drawing 2, with Sue” class with Sue Baechtel is going on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. through Aug. 13. The class is geared toward adults with some experience. Call for cost and necessary supplies. Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts The Playground Project, which presents some of the most outstanding and influential playgrounds from Europe, the United States and Japan from the mid-to-late 20th century to prompt a reconsideration of the way we approach childhood, risk, public space and education. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with additional hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays; closed major holidays. Admission, which includes the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, is $17.95 for adults, $14.95 for those age 65 and older, $11.95 for students with ID and children ages 3 to 18, and free for children younger than 3. Admission after 4 p.m. on Thursdays is $10 per adult/senior and $5 per student/child.
