A Free Family Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, takes place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 13 at in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park. Call 724-284-5383. Playing Tuesday will be Moon Drag with its original rock 'n' roll.

The Butler County Symphony Orchestra's Concerts to Munch By has canceled the July 3 show. The concert for July 10 will be by The May Hollow Remedy from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the New Castle Street Plaza. In the event of inclement weather, the lunchtime concerts will be held at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St. Admission is free. Call 724-283-1402.

Musicians' Concert Band will perform a “Patriotic Celebration” at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Butler Intermediate High School. Admission is $5. Visit www.musiciansconcertband.com.

Allegheny Brass Band will perform in concert at 8 p.m. tonight in the square at Main and Mercer streets, Harmony, in the first of several free summer evening concerts organized by the historic borough's Parks Board. Fireworks will conclude the community's annual pre-Independence Day concert. Concertgoers should take their own chairs.

Rockin' the Rose Concert Series at Chicora Medical Center will feature Chicora natives Darren Miller and Craig Davison and their new band bOOfER with a diverse mix of everything from oldies to rock at 7 p.m. tonight on the campus of the medical center at 160 Medical Center Drive. Those attending are to take chairs and blankets for first-come, first-choice lawn seating around the outdoor stage. Refreshments will be available. Science! is an acoustic guitar duo comprised of Justin Stang and Jim Elenteny playing at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Center of Harmony, 253 Mercer St., Harmony. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door; children younger than 16 are admitted free and must be accompanied by an adult.

Hartwood Acres Amphitheater in Allison Park, Allegheny County, will be the site of a performance of bluegrass by Sara Watkins at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Call 412-767-9200.
