Dorothy Marie Stauffer
Dorothy Marie Stauffer, 85, of Cabot passed away at 11:58 p.m. June 2 in the Oertel Building at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
She was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Butler to the late J. Richard Laird and Dorothy (Eakin) Laird.
Mrs. Stauffer was a 1945 graduate of Butler High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christ Outreach Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and her family.
Mrs. Stauffer is survived by two sons, Douglas Stauffer of Norfolk, Va., and Jeffrey L. Stauffer and his fiancee, Brenda Didonato, of Cabot; two daughters, Marsha Eland and her husband, Michael, of Chester, S.C., and Laurel Stevenson and her husband, Donald, of Pottsville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilda Daum of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Henry Chester Stauffer, who she married June 21, 1946, and who passed away Feb. 4, 1990; and one sister.
STAUFFER — There will be no public visitation for Dorothy Marie Stauffer, who passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013. A private memorial service was at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Andrew Brewer of the Christ Outreach Church officiating.
Interment took place in Butler County Memorial Park.
