Lana Kay Adams Tidwell, 60, of Saxonburg, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Monday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Lana's loving spirit will remain with all the people whose lives she touched, which were many.

Lana was born May 27, 1953, in Butler, the daughter of the late Franklin Corbett and the late Virginia Sherwin Corbett.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler. She received her bachelor's degree from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. She retired from OPM as a federal investigator after 31 years of service. In her spare time Lana enjoyed the art of dance, traveling and spending time with her family.

Lana is survived by three sisters, Rita (Dennis) Hillwig of Chambersburg, Pa., Diane (Thomas) Standish of Emlenton and Dawn (Richard) Helfrich of Karns City; two brothers, James (Janet) Corbett of Grove City and Richard (Susan) Corbett of Bluffton, S.C.; 14 nieces and nephews; and 20 great- nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Neal Tidwell.

TIDWELL — A memorial service for Lana Kay Adams Tidwell, who passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, will be at noon Saturday at the Fairview United Presbyterian Church, 109 Petrolia St., Petrolia, with the Rev. Dennis Barger of the Scrubgrass Stone Church officiating. A time of fellowship and dinner will follow.Burial will be private.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to theWilliam F. Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury.The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler PA or the Alzheimer's Foundation, One Station Square, The Landmarks Building, Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
