Driver hurt in 1-car crash on Route 268
FAIRVIEW TWP — A car wrecked this morning along Route 268 just south of the Route 68 intersection.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu, whose name was unavailable, was taken by Chicora Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Chief Jason Miller of the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department said the occupant was extricated after the driver’s side doors were cut off.
Roughly 20 Chicora firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the 7:38 a.m. 911 call.
Route 268 was shut down until 8:45 a.m., when one lane was reopened to traffic.
State police are investigating the cause of the accident. Further information was unavailable.
Butler Ambulance and Petrolia EMS assisted Chicora. Crews cleared the scene at 9:20 a.m.
