Robert “Bob” Lee Dick, 68, of Prospect passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon at the Butler Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born on March 24, 1945, in Grove City, and was the son of the late Francis and Margaret Kline Dick.

He retired in 2003 from AK Steel in Butler. He presently was working for Manheim Pittsburgh Auto Auction, the former Butler Auto Auction, in Cranberry Township.

Bob loved to serve God in many ways. He was a lifetime member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder. He served on the building and grounds committee, and would lend a helping hand in any way needed.

Bob loved his family and was known to be able to fix anything. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, woodworking, hunting, fishing, ATVs, and helping others. He restored antique tractors and enjoyed going to steam shows. He belonged to the ATV Traction Club and the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Constance “Connie” Covert Dick, who he married Feb. 18, 1983; his loving children, Marcia (Paul) Kotek of Butler, Melony (Paul) Downing of Butler, Sean (Tracy) Dick of Slippery Rock and Darin Dick and his girlfriend, Katy Fleming, of Chincoteaque, Va.; his loving grandchildren, Braden Miller, Jacob Miller, Paul Kotek, Emily Kotek, Sarah Downing, Jesse Downing, Cailin Dick and Nolan Dick; his mother-in-law, Ruby (George) Olenic; his brother-in-law, Ralph Christley of Prospect; his stepsister, Karen (Dennis) Young of Somerset, Pa.; and his niece, Valeria (Kevin) Bres of Prospect.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Christley, his stepmother, Ethel Dick, and stepsister, Debbie Majors.

DICK — Visitation for Bob Dick, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Curtis, his pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund or Deacon Fund at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W.
