Butler Wesleyan Academy was awarded quality status from Accelerated Christian Education.

For the past school year, the average student’s grade in all subject areas was 91.6 percent. Several students in kindergarten through 12th grade completed more than one year’s standard academic expectations.

Accelerated Christian Education’s team of educators currently serves more than 7,000 schools, one government contract and thousands of home educators in 135 countries.

The Rev. Ronald W. Miller of Butler was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Interfaith Seminary in Cooper, Texas, in recognition of his work for both the Church of Seven Planes and the Interfaith Seminary, as well as his charitable work in the community.

He also was recognized for outstanding scholarship.
