Butler Beauty School plants cut-a-thon Oct. 22
The Butler Beauty School will hold a cut-a-thon Oct. 22 to raise money for breast cancer. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointments are needed.
Hair cuts will be $10, which will be donated to Look Good Feel Better, which is a nonprofit organization that helps women with beauty techniques as they cope with the side effects of cancer treatments.
Fridays in October the students at the beauty school will donate $5 to wear pink T-shirts and jeansThe school works throughout the year with the American Cancer Society to provide free wigs for women with breast cancer.
“We style and cut the wigs for the women,” said Ashley Morrow, an instructor.
