Judith Montag

Judith M. Montag, 72, of Chicora died Sunday at ACMH Hospital.

Born on April 17, 1941, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Alberta M. Nolan Hilderbrand.

She was the wife of the late Ronald V. Montag, who died Oct. 8, 2000.

She was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital as a social worker for many years. Following her employment, she was a homemaker while raising her family. She later went to work for Beltone Hearing Aid as a receptionist.

She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid bingo player, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Brian P. Montag of Chicora, Bradley R. (Lori) Montag of Chicora and Robert G. (Jennifer) Montag of Chicora; four grandchildren, Autumn and Aaron Montag and Hunter and Haley Montag; a sister, Julia Minor Cozad of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

MONTAG — The friends of Judith M. Montag, who died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A blessing service will be at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Matthew McClain officiating.
