Harriet J. Honse

Harriet J. Honse, 64, of Ligonier, formerly of Butler, died Tuesday in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1948, in Greensburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Dorothy Cousins Honse.

Before her retirement, she had been employed by UPS in New Stanton. She also had been a driver for Valley Transportation in Ligonier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Atlee Honse Sr. and Samuel Honse.

She is survived by a brother, John G. Honse of Silver Spring, Nev.; a sister-in-law, Janis Honse of Butler, and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.

HONSE — At the request of Harriet J. Honse, who died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, services and burial in the Fort Palmer Cemetery will be private.Harriett also requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ligonier Volunteer Hose Company 1, P.O. Box 573, Ligonier, PA 15658.Ms. Honse's arrangements are being handled by the J.
