Norman Teslik

Norman William Teslik, 79, formerly of Harmony, passed away at Cranberry Paramount Senior Living Saturday.

Born in May of 1934 at Mercy Hospital in Allegheny County, he was the son of the late Milan and Anna (Sailer) Teslik.

Norman graduated with honors from Shaler High and attended Carnegie Mellon University.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Norman was a master marksman and lifetime member of the NRA. He was employed by U.S. Steel, FB Leopold Company for 28 years and Roediger of Pittsburgh Inc. for 13 years. Norman retired as the CEO of Roediger of Pittsburgh in 1997. He served in the Chamber of Commerce in Zelienople and was instrumental in establishing ECOZ, Environmentally Concerned of Zelienople. Norman was a member of the Czechoslovakia Society of America, American Water Association, Water Pollution Control Federation and was a 50 year member of the Park United Presbyterian Church. The Teslik family would like to extend special thanks to the Hospice Care at Cranberry Paramount Senior Living for all their wonderful care.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth (Davis) Teslik; his two sons, Nathan Teslik and his wife, Carol, of Butler and Zane Teslik and his wife, Darlene, of Georgia; his six grandchildren, Tyler and his wife, Shannon, Keeley, Michelle, Pamela, Ashley and Zane Marcus; and his great-granddaughter, Reaghan Nicole.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers.

TESLIK — The family of Norman William Teslik, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, will welcome friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be held privately by his family.He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Allegheny County Memorial Park.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support the Park United Presbyterian Church, 115 E.
