Stacy Panei of Butler has been elected the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Junior Women’s Club of Butler president for 2013-2014.
The executive board of officers includes first vice president, Christi Hilliard; second vice president, Rebecca Lozzi; corresponding secretary, Chelynne Curci; recording secretary, Sue Shewalter-Brown; treasurer, Mandy Claypoole; and assistant treasurer, Nicole Robinson.
Panei has been a club member for five years. She has been on the executive board and was chairman of the education, public issues and friendship/social committees. She also served on Twilight Magic committees.
She is the co-chairman of the Pennsylvania GFWC education committee.
A 1999 graduate of Butler High School, Panei has bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and special education and a master’s degree in special education supervision from Slippery Rock University.
She is an inclusion support teacher and intervention specialist for Shenango School District.

Kathy Kummer, registered nurse and wellness director at Lowrie House, a senior living community in Butler, recently received the national certification of dementia practitioner credential.
The credential recognizes excellence in dementia and Alzheimer disease education to professionals and other caregivers who provide services to dementia clients.
