Under the Gun
Vivian Beck of Butler got an immunization against swine flu and A-Victoria flu at a clinic set up in the multi-purpose room at Saxonburg Elementary School on Oct. 28, 1976. She was one of nearly 700 elderly and chronically ill people who were inoculated that day at the school and at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Mars. Most of the vaccines at the school were given with the inoculation “gun.”
