Dianne Waag

Dianne Waag, 69, of Slippery Rock, Worth Township, Butler County, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Thursday at her home following an extended illness.

She was born on May 4, 1944, in Pittsburgh to Wallace Griffith Turner and Jean Dorothy Zeigenheim Turner.

She married Regis C. Waag on Nov. 2, 1963.

She worked for 27 years at Butler Auto Auction, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Regis. C. Waag at home in Slippery Rock; her daughter, Amy E. and her husband, Michael S. McCormick, of Slippery Rock; her son, R. Scott and his wife, Janet L. Waag, of Slippery Rock; her five grandchildren, Shannon D., Heather N., Morgan D., Lindsey C. and Mackensie L.; and her four great-grandchildren, Chloe E., Bailey R., Brady W. and Zoey M.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda Haas.

WAAG — The services for Dianne Waag, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, will be private. There will be no visitation or viewing.The funeral arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, PA 16057.Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association in Pittsburgh, 810 River Ave., Suite 140, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, or at www.lunginfo.org.
