Mary Jane Burr
Mary Jane Burr, 81, of Evans City passed away on Wednesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.
Born on July 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Edna Marie (Myers) Hartzell.
Mary Jane enjoyed listening to classic country and gospel music. In her free time, she loved playing cards, flower gardening, watching game shows, needlepoint and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, being with her dog, Tiny, and her cat, Buff. Above all, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, George R. Burr of Evans City, Eleanor Jean Mahood and her husband, Ed, of Florida, Donna Lutz and her husband, Paul, of Evans City, Marilyn Marbell of Evans City and William Burr and his wife, Deborah, of Evans City; her sister, Helen Bader of Zelienople; and her 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Burr, and four brothers and a son-in-law.
BURR — The family of Mary Jane Burr, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, will welcome friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
