Robert Crawford

Robert D. Crawford, 66, of Butler died Thursday evening at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1947, in Butler, a son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Mentzer) Crawford.

He had retired as a construction laborer, working through Local 323 of the Laborers Union. Bob had also worked as a bartender for Serventi's Restaurant in Butler

Bob loved nature and was an active outdoor sportsman. He loved hunting, fishing and finding mushrooms in the wild. He was a member of the Summit Township Sportsman's Club. He most enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball.

Surviving are his daughter, Tracy Bellis and her husband, Chris, of Butler; one grandson, Joshua Friel; two brothers, Thomas (Julie) Crawford and Roger Crawford, all of Butler; three sisters, Carol (Darrell) Sacco, Dawna (Daniel) Fair and Susan (Joel) Geibel, all of Butler, and his former wife and friend, Becky Bianchi of Butler.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

CRAWFORD — There will not be a visitation for Robert D. Crawford, who died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.Arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
