Roy Edward Weber Sr.
Roy Edward Weber Sr., 78, of Prospect passed away early Thursday morning following an illness.
Born on March 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ursla Ledergerber Weber.
He was a member of the St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect.
Roy owned and operated Weber's Transmissions in Butler from 1976 until his retirement in 1989.
He belonged to the Butler Knights of Columbus, where he was a cook at the many fish fries. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Roy was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Brueckner Weber, who he married June 6, 1953; his children, Phyllis (Thomas) Genaway of Prospect, Roy “Bud” Weber Jr. of Mayfield, N.Y. and Teresa (Ed) Wamsley of Petrolia; and his three grandchildren, James, Jeramy and Royce.
