LOCK HAVEN — Mars graduate and Gannon University sophomore midfielder Mani Brueckner has been named PSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year for the second successive season.
Brueckner tallied 10 goals and 13 assists for a conference-leading 33 points this year.
LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University senior Lauren Impey earned PSAC women's soccer's first Defensive Athlete of the Year award while The Rock's Andrea Felix was named PSAC Freshman of the Year.Impey had a goal and four assists and was part of a Rock defense that allowed just 10 goals all year while recording nine shutouts. Felix leads SRU with 10 goals and 25 points.SRU sophomore midfielder Allison Harbart and senior goalkeeper Dana O'Neill were named first team All-PSAC. Junior midfielder Leslie Henry was named second team and freshman defender Lynn Neef earned third team honors.
INDIANAPOLIS — The 15th-ranked Slippery Rock University women's soccer team has slipped to No. 2 in the NCAA Atlantic Region rankings while the 24th-ranked SRU men have moved up to No. 3.The top six women's teams and top four men's teams earn berths in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
