Dorothy M. Hodak, 85, of Butler died Wednesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on Sept. 24, 1928, in Worthington, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. Crawford and Mary M. (Ott) Crawford.

She had worked at the Moonlight Mushroom plant for more than 20 years, until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and had enjoyed ceramics and cooking.

Surviving are her four sons, Dennis (Judy) Hodak, Charles (Susan) Hodak, John (Karen) Hodak and Robert Hodak, all of Butler; her nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hodak, who she married on Jan. 12, 1951, and who died March 9, 2012; her four brothers; and five sisters.

HODAK — The friends of Dorothy M. Hodak, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Worthington.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations may be made to the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Alzheimer’s Unit, 101 Sunnyview Circle, Butler, PA 16001.
