Gerald H. Walker

Gerald H. Walker, 76, of Buffalo Township passed away Thursday while in the company of family members at the Fair Winds Manor in Sarver.

Jerry was born in Vandergrift on Aug. 25, 1937. He was the son of the late Bernadine (Shaffer) Walker-James and Hughes J. Walker.

He was employed as a night repair foreman at Allegheny Ludlum Steel for 31 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a social member of the Sarver Vet’s club. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time at his camp.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy (McIntyre) Walker; three children, William (Diane) Walker of Brackenridge, Jeffrey Walker of Buffalo Township and Lisa (Paul Landi) Green of New Kensington; three grandchildren, William (Jeanne) Walker Jr., and Tara and Taylor Green; three great-grandchildren, Gavin Walker and Raegan and Ava Walker; two stepgrandchildren, Jeremy (Michelle) Lanyon and Cindy (Phil) Klinginsmith; two step-great-grandchildren, Emma Klinginsmith and Isla Lanyon; one brother, Dean (Carolyn) Walker of Oklahoma borough; one sister, Kim Marsinetti of Vandergrift; and his sister-in-law, Faith Walker of Saxonburg. Jerry also is survived by his faithful dog, Barney.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Walker, and his granddaughter, Jennifer Green.

WALKER — At the request of Gerald H. Walker, who died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, there will be a private family visitation and funeral service. He will be buried at Mt. Airy Cemetery Natrona Heights.

Arrangements are handled by the Redmond Funeral Home, Freeport.
