Cynthia Jean Shearer, 61, of Slippery Rock passed away Sunday at her home.

She was born on May 17, 1952, in New Kensington, Pa., the daughter of the late William H. Shearer Sr. and Cordelia (Healey) Shearer.

Surviving are her son, Donald Plyler Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Slippery Rock; her four grandchildren, Colten, Talon, Alyssa, and Cannon Plyler of Slippery Rock; her sister, Nancy Sopher of Jackson Center, Pa.; and her four brothers, William Shearer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., John Shearer of Butler, Arthur Shearer of Butler and Robert Shearer of Baton Rouge, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

SHEARER — The services and burial for Cynthia Jean Shearer, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, will be private.

The funeral arrangements are by the Young Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1522, Butler, PA 16003.
