Schmidt

Robert E. “Butch” Schmidt, 59, of Harmony, formerly of Crafton Heights, passed away Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was the beloved husband of Kay Schmidt; the loving father of Michelle Schmidt, Tiffany (Thomas) Conlin and Zachary Schmidt; the cherished grandfather of six grandchildren; the dear brother of Joann Andrews and Mary Biernacki; sadly missed by his nieces, Loretta O’Conner and Barb Shrader; and his nephew, Ronald Biernacki.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy, and his brother, John Schmidt.

Bob worked for OK Groceries for more than 27 years until his retirement in 2012.

Schmidt — Celebrate the life of Robert E. “Butch” Schmidt, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the SCHEPNER MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. A blessing service will be at the funeral home at noon Wednesday. Friends are invited to ride their motorcycles in memory of Harley Bob.
