Sunday — An unknown thief stole a red, Schwinn 500 electric scooter that was plugged into a charger at the back of a home in the 400 block of West Pearl Street. The scooter, valued at $350, was taken between Thursday and Sunday.

5:41 p.m. Sunday — At least one person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck at Routes 528 and 19.The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Deborah Kober, 55, of Zelienople and a vehicle driven by Dennis Klingensmith Jr., 38, of New Castle collided at the intersection. A police report was incomplete and no other information was available this morning.Harmony and Zelienople volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene. Fire crews remained there for 90 minutes.

3 a.m. today — Jessica K. Anderson, 28, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle crashed into a guardrail on Route 8 south of McFann Road in Middlesex Township. Police said Anderson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.1:24 a.m. Sunday — Edward S. Michalski, 25, of Cranberry Township swerved his car to avoid a deer on the road and struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. The car spun around and struck the guardrail two more times.12:25 a.m. Sunday — Robert J. Kalisek Jr., 27, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of DUI after nearly colliding head-on with a state police cruiser on Renfrew Road about one-half mile west of Route 8 in Penn Township.2:35 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Joshua D. Brown, 30, of Butler crashed into a concrete barrier on Route 422 between Mitchell Hill and Bonniebrook roads in Summit Township.Brown fled the scene after the crash. He told troopers that he believed he suffered a concussion in the wreck. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.Saturday — Police are seeking an unknown black man who shoplifted $2,300 in merchandise in two separate retail thefts Wednesday and Saturday at the Boscov's store at Clearview Mall in Center Township. The thief is described as about 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds.11:17 p.m. Friday — Carl R. Hilliard, 53, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his SUV collided with a car at Routes 422 and 488 in Franklin Township. Cristan J. Papay, 20, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., was the other driver.3:15 a.m. Friday — An unknown white man driving a 1990s model Chevrolet pickup stole an undetermined amount of gasoline from a large fuel tank on Logan Road in Middlesex Township. The suspect's vehicle is possibly dark green or blue.Thursday — An unknown vandal between 12:01 a.m. and 1 p.m. damaged two windows at the Dairy Queen on Route 8 in Center Township. Damage was estimated at $1,000.11:50 p.m. Nov. 11 — A green, 1995 Polaris Sportsman was reported stolen from Whitestown Road Extension in Connoquenessing Township. The all-terrain vehicle is valued at $2,000.Nov. 2 — Derick Biedenbach, 19, of Butler allegedly broke into a garage on Vogleyville Road in Summit Township and stole a 3-ton jack and a trimmer. Police said the suspect sold the items to a neighbor. Biedenbach faces charges of burglary and theft.Oct. 28 — An unknown identity thief used a 22-year-old Prospect woman's debit card at two separate unspecified locations on Oct. 27 and 28.

9:30 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Boyd C. Hillwig, 56, of Chicora struck a deer on Route 68 in Monroe Township.7:10 p.m. Friday — A Shippenville couple was not hurt when their vehicle struck a bear on Route 322 in Elk Township Friday evening. The vehicle, however, driven by 27-year-old Jesse Marshall, was badly damaged. The bear was killed.Friday — A Butler County woman's purse was stolen at the Red Bandana Winery in Farmington Township.The purse, owned by an Evans City woman, contained numerous credit and debit cards, car and house keys, a cell phone and about $10.Also in the purse were two Pittsburgh Steelers tickets that were for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

12:05 a.m. Sunday — A 21-year-old Clintonville woman reported that a man intentionally struck her with his vehicle on Dog Hollow Road in Irwin Township. Police did not identify the man other than to say he is 29 years old. Their investigation continues.

1:10 p.m. Saturday — An Allegheny County woman was hurt when she crashed her motorcycle in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Kimberly A. Darges, 49, of Bethel Park was traveling on McConnells Mill Road at Mount Hope Furnace Road when she laid down her cycle.Darges, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Police said she was cited for driving a vehicle with worn tires.

2:44 p.m. Saturday — An elderly woman was injured when her car collided with a sport utility vehicle at Route 19 and Falls Road in Springfield Township. The crash happened when Esther C. Burns, 85, of Mercer turned into the path of the SUV driven by Alan M. Gaber, 49, of Fredonia.The collision sent the SUV spinning into a ditch. Burns, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said she was cited for making an improper left turn.11:55 a.m. Nov. 10 — Two Butler County women were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck in Pine Township.The crash happened when a car driven by Zachary S. Watt, 21, of Monaca, Beaver County, and an SUV driven by Karlee C. Kovalchik, 22, of Harrisville collided at South Center Street Extension and George Junior Road. Watt's vehicle spun out and struck another car driven by Daisy J. Danielson, 48, of Grove City.The SUV, following the collision, traveled into a fire hydrant. Kovalchik and her passenger, Kelsey R. Dunbar, 18, of Butler, suffered minor injuries. Police said Watt was cited for making an improper left turn.
