Edward J. Kelley Sr.
Edward J. Kelley Sr., 70, of 64 Donation Road, Hempfield Township, Greenville, passed away at 1:07 a.m. Friday at his home after a brief illness.
Ed was born in Ellwood City on Oct. 11, 1943, to Edward D. Kelley and Kathleen P. (LeFebvre) Kelley.
He had attended Slippery Rock High School.
He had previously been employed in the maintenance department at the Shenango Valley Mall, Hermitage. He also had been employed by the Oakes & McClelland Co. and Trinity Industries, both of Greenville, and for more than 20 years he was employed at Halstead Industries, Zelienople.
He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, and had been an active member of AA for the past 29 years. Ed loved the outdoors, especially hunting, camping and putting his tractors to good use. A motorcyclist, Ed enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing and his Suzuki Trike.
He married the former C. Dianne Neuner on April 11, 1970, and she survives at home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tracey L. Ingram of Lakeland, Fla., and Dawn Marie Durnell and her husband, Jeffrey, of Butler; three sons, Edward J. Kelley Jr. and his wife, Jamie, of Indianapolis, Ind., Byron Keith Kelley and his wife, Christa, of Lakeland, Fla., and Joseph Paul Kelley of Little Elm, Texas; six sisters, Patricia Painter and her husband, William, of Evans City, Mary E. Lechner of Pottsdam, N.Y., Linda M. Nye of Slippery Rock, Kathleen P. Hempfling of Harmony, Rose Marie Dean and her husband, Donald, of Sigel, Pa., and Diane Toney and her husband, Dave, of New Castle; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
