A medical condition led to a pickup truck crashing into two homes on Miller Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Robert Yenick of Butler was driving to visit his daughter, Kassie Walker, who lives on the avenue, when a cardiac condition caused him to crash his truck a little after 2 p.m.

Walker said she believed her father had a stroke, but was not certain.

Ramon Cantera of Butler said he and his cousin, Mauro Cantera, who lives in one of the homes that was struck, were unloading tools from his truck across the street when they witnessed the accident.

“He pulled off on the side of the road and looked like he was dozing off,” Cantera said. “He put the truck in park, but then he put it back in drive and took off.”

Yenick hit the side of the 412 Miller Avenue home then swerved through the narrow yard into the side of Cantera's 410 address next door.

Fire Chief Nick Ban said Yenick was conscious when he was taken away in the ambulance.

Ban said the accident caused about $3,000 in damages to the foundation of Cantera's home.
